Dr. Herrera and both of our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners provide inpatient psychiatric hospitalist services for patients requiring acute, hospital-based psychiatric care. Our team works directly with hospital staff to ensure continuity from admission through discharge and follow-up.
Our inpatient hospitalist service provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and management for hospitalized patients across the lifespan. We coordinate with attending physicians, hospital staff, and families to deliver evidence-based care during the most critical phase of treatment.
Following discharge, patients can transition seamlessly to our outpatient practice for ongoing follow-up — a model of continuity that improves outcomes and reduces readmissions.
Our clinical team holds active hospital privileges at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance (DHR Health) in Edinburg, with privileges extending across all DHR Health facilities throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
